PGP (Pretty Good Privacy)

PGP is a crypto program which allows you to send information over the Net in a private fashion. Otherwise, mailing information on the Net is sort of like writing on a postcard. It also allows you to send binary files as ASCii text, since it encrypts in text--handy for someone in my business when I want to send, say, an MS Word file to an author via e-mail and I want it to be private. For more information about PGP and your rights to privacy in the United States, check out the Electronic Freedom Frontier (EFF).
