Typesetting & Book Design
Our typesetting services run the gamut from brochures and business card design to typesetting and designing full books. We provide the typesetting and interior designs for Baen Books (distributed by Simon & Schuster), both paperbacks and hardcovers. Combined with our on-demand publishing division, we can provide both authors and publishers the opportunity to create inexpensive (but not "cheap"!) books in less than a tenth of the time conventional publishing/printing has taken in the past.On-demand Publishing
Technically, "on-demand publishing" simply means the ability to print books on demand, saving costs, warehousing, and shipping prices. Windhaven has gone one step further, by not only providing the ability to print hardcopy books on demand for both authors and publishers, but also providing multimedia electronic publishing to complement the physical book. A textbook or employee manual, for example, can be provided on CD-ROM or on an intranet in Adobe's Acrobat format, for easy updating each quarter or month, with a printed copy of the same manual printed on demand, piece by piece, as the updates change. The price is the same whether we print one book or a thousand, and no extra copies will take up shelf or warehouse space. There will be no "returns" to deal with from unsold or unused copies.We also provide our authors who decide to publish with Windhaven the
opportunity to market themselves, via our marketing consultants, take part
in our online distribution program for their books, and each author receives
a free, unique Web page for marketing/advertising their work, housed on
the Windhaven domain site. We also have Net sales space, and can accomodate

Web Design & Implementation
Finally, Windhaven has an active, experienced team of designers, programmers, and Internet experts to help you create the domain you need for your business or personal use. We can provide full Web page development, advisement on Internet strategies, CGI scripting, Java development, and even offer a highly experienced team to create an online community for your site (one of our team has been a senior management consultant for Excite Corp. in developing Web communities).Windhaven's Own Domain
